TRUTHSGIVING 2020 Awards

On October 10, 2020, AGYU collaborated with Our Women’s Voices, KTV Media, and Jayda Marley on Truthsgiving 2020: A free virtual festival to reimagine and redefine Thanksgiving.

After this successful event, we wanted to keep the momentum going and continue to give thanks to BIPOC communities. In November 2020, we gave away 100 President’s Choice gift cards to folks who identify as Black, Indigenous, or Persons of Colour for simply existing, creating, and shining in their truth. People could nominate themselves or someone whom they’d like to give thanks to. Whether it’s a loved one, a friend, a stranger, or a family member, this award intends to give back. To qualify, the recipient must simply identify as BIPOC.

Thank you for the incredible support we received during Truthsgiving. We hope to continue holding spaces for our diverse communities and are committed to providing valuable resources.

Applications were accepted through the end of November, 2020.
