The AGYU’s Protocols around Covid-19
This fall, York University will require all community members and visitors to be vaccinated against COVID-19, subject to medical and human rights exemptions, in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. Visitors to York’s campuses (including to the Art Gallery of York University) will be required to provide proof of full vaccination or an exemption based on validated medical or human rights grounds.
Community members will need to complete the YU Screening tool before visiting the campus (https://yorku.ubixhealth.com/login). After September 7, this will include the necessity to submit proof of vaccination or an approved exemption. YU Screen will be ready to accept this documentation on September 7. All information collected in the Screening tool will be subject to strict privacy and confidentiality requirements.
Those who cannot be vaccinated or who are awaiting their first or second dose will be required to adhere to additional health and safety measures, including frequent testing. Between September 7 and October 19 (the date whereby proof of having received a full vaccination series is required), those attending activities on York’s campuses who are not yet fully vaccinated (including those with approved exemptions), will be required to submit proof of a negative COVID-19 test result.
While on campus, York University’s requirements are as follows:
- Maintain a physical distance of 2 metres from others,
- Practice frequent hand hygiene
- Practice respiratory etiquette by coughing and sneezing into your sleeve
- Wear a mask or face covering in all enclosed spaces
- Wear eye protection (e.g., face shield) in addition to a mask or face covering if within 2 meters of someone not wearing a mask
