Publications

For us publication is a verb, not a noun.

It is a form and forum of creating public across time and space. Here we take the time needed to register the impact of our programming in a wider discourse. This takes the form of exhibition catalogues, monographs, artists books, and, increasingly, chapbooks and other ephemeral forms, such as newsletters and member communications. Our publications feature extended texts by the galleryís curators (sometimes book-length!) as well as commissioned texts by guest writers from a variety of backgrounds, including some of todayís most well-respected contemporary art thinkers. We are a leader in art publishing in Canada with important books on the history of Canadian art; first monographs on international and Canadian artists; and often the first rigorous analyses of new generation of artists in new international art centres.

Our award-winning books are distributed internationally, andóthrough our catalogue exchange programócan be found in most art book stores, galleries, libraries, and even on Amazon! You can purchase our books here through our secure, on-line bookstore, or from distributors such as D.A.P, New York, and Black Dog Publishing, London.
